The processing of personal data is always done in accordance with privacy legislation

(General Data Protection Regulation of April 27, 2016, also known as AVG or GDPR). This privacy statement explains how we handle this personal data.

GO! Terra always reserves the right to change this privacy statement. Please therefore regularly consult the latest version of this document.

GO! Terra processes personal data on the basis of a number of legal obligations as an educational institution. Examples: we need your data as a student to register you at the school, to register attendance, to guide, follow up and evaluate you. In addition, we have the legal obligation to forward certain data to other parties, such as, for example, passing on attendance and attendance to the Education Department.

Other personal data are necessary for organizational reasons, for example the name and address of the parents of the minor pupil in order to inform them.

 

We process various types of personal data. We obtained certain personal data directly from you as the data subject.

GO! Terra processes and collects the following categories of personal data:

• personal identification data (including name, address, ...);

• personal characteristics (age, gender, date and place of birth, marital status,

nationality, mother tongue);

• National Insurance number;

  • studbook number;

  • family composition (including name of mother and father, details of marriages or unions, divorces, divorces, names of partners, names and dates of birth of brothers and sisters, children);

  • choice of philosophy;

  • financial details (bank account number, school costs, overview and follow-up

  • of payments, VAT numbers, payment methods, ...);

  • study progress and supervision (school career, test and exam results,

  • assessment of progress made in studies);

  • health data (eg regarding physical health: epilepsy, use of medication);

  • attendances (the registration of absences and presences);

  • problematic absences;

  • order and disciplinary measures;

  • imagery;

 

The educational institution also processes medical data necessary to respond correctly in emergency situations.

 

GO! Terra always uses the basic legal principles when processing personal data. We only process personal data to achieve our goals and always do so on a lawful and transparent basis. We only collect the personal data that is necessary to fulfill our rights and obligations as an educational institution. This also means that we will not use your data for purposes other than those mentioned in these privacy regulations. We respect the retention periods and do not store your data longer than necessary (based on statutory retention periods and the rules imposed by the Archives Decree).

In the execution of our assignments, we sometimes call on third parties, e.g. suppliers of student tracking systems, administrative packages and educational learning materials, such as Smartschool, Wisa, etc. 

GO! Terra bears the responsibility for this and concludes agreements and non-disclosure agreements with them.  

 

We respect your privacy and will never sell or rent your personal information to third parties. Due to certain legal obligations and for organizational reasons, certain personal data may be passed on to various authorities, including:

• government services, such as the Education Department, Inspectorate;

• Center for Student Counseling (CLB)

• general and support services of the school group (eg in the context of a

appeal procedure following a disciplinary procedure or when asking for advice);

• employer of the student trainee.

 

You have a legal right to access and possibly correct your personal data. Provided proof of identity (copy of identity card) you can submit a written, dated and signed request to GO! Terra obtain the written notification of your personal data free of charge. If necessary, you can also request to delete or correct the data that would be incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant.

GO! Terra may collect anonymous or aggregated data of a non-personal nature, such as browser type or IP address, the operating system you use or the domain name of the website from which you came to the GO! Terra website, or through which you leave it. This allows us to use the GO! Terra website to be permanently optimized for the users.

 

4. Use of “cookies”
